Thai Magie - two or three branches in Munich.
Blumenstr. 1, city center
Hohenzollernplatz 7, Schwabing, 80796 Munich
Tel. 089 2605354
Great prices! Main dishes are 57, and those advertised as scharf are quite reasonably so. Tasty and affordable.
Posted by: "Greg K." at 10:21 pm on 29.May.2004The owner is Vietnamese but the food is quite acceptable and very cheap, even for an imbiss in Munich. More like a take-away place as there are hardly any space inside.
Posted by: "Diem Hang" at 10:43 am on 1.Jul.2004I found the food a bit gloopy, and not very Thai. I'd rather be at Kun Tuk or Tem, even if it costs more.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 3:46 pm on 1.Jul.2004I found their dishes to be too greasy and their Pad Thai was nothing like a real Pad Thai but instead oily noodles with mushy vegetables. Better places exist with the same prices. Could be worse but still would not recommend.
Posted by: "jodi" at 4:50 pm on 19.Nov.2004i have eaten at the Schwabing branch and find it really NASTY. It is very oily and not authentic at all. If you are near Hohenzollernplaz and craving yummy Thai that is cheap, go around the corner on Hohenzollernstrasse to Yam Bai Imbiss....very yumma, authentic and cheaper!!!
Posted by: jodessa at 9:41 am on 8.Nov.2005The Thai Magie in Humboldt str Untergiesing is also not to be recommended. The buffet is usually stone cold (at opening time!!), and when asked to provide warm food the staff first argue that the food is warm, and then disappear. Upon asking 15 minutes later whether anything cooked would come out, they responded "I have told the cook, and can't do anything more". We left without eating and paid only for the mineral water. Definitely no "magie" in this eatery.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 6:14 pm on 8.Nov.2005Thai magie in humboldt str. Untergiesing has the worst service ever! First time i odered via phone and asked for the scarfe sauce as extra, never got it. this happened twice more, before went there in person to order my lunch, and requested as extra. Even though i had odered a meal, the woman (sour face) made it seem like i had just asked her to donate her kidney. She was just walking around complaining in her language. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!
Posted by: "susan" at 1:53 pm on 13.Nov.2009It's great value for money if u are prepared to overlook the abysmal service and not-so-great food, food which is what you can expect from an all-you-can-eat buffet! The "Thai" tastes a lot like Hong Kong Chinese, but some of the dishes were passable if you've just spent all weekend hiking and could eat anything, or you're a student and have spent...
