Taverne Lithos - Munich

Super! Discovered this restaurant when I moved to Giesing a couple of months ago and it is really really good. Now I go once or twice a week! Food is delicious - traditional greek cousine. And price is more than reasonable - Dorada with salad and veggies for 11.90! The owner is really nice and the service is pretty good. So go and enjoy it!

I have now been here twice in the past 2 weeks and can confirm that the food, service and drink is excellent (the house wines are pretty good too) and particularly good value for money. The only drawback is that the smoke level is relatively high. However this seems to be particularly typical of Greek and Turkish restaurants in Munich.

I recently also tried out this restaurant and can also confirm that you must check this place out if your looking for value for money. I must say the food is fantastic. Probably one of the best value and good quality home style greek cooking.

I was looking for restaurants in Giesing and found Taverne Lithos with some good reviews. I went there last night and I think it is a great restaurant with excellent food, service and price. And the best of it is that is very close to my place ;). Thanks to other TTers for those reviews that helped me to discover this nice restaurant!

Isn't this place right near Lucullus, another Greek place famous for its high quality-for-money ratio? If so, I'd like to have a comparison from anyone who has been to both places.

I've been in both Lithos and Lucullus. Lithos was really greek, nice food, very good price and the greek owners very nice! In Lucullus, they didn't have many dishes that were on the menu and it was not really greek food. I'll return to Lithos, no doubt. Try arni sto fourno!!
