Tattenbach - Tattenbachstr. 6, 80538 Munich, Germany

Great old German place in Lehel, which serves very well kept Augustiner and massive portions of food. The food is a mix of traditional German and international. The atmosphere is extremely charming. There are dried hops hanging everywhere which complements the wooden interior perfectly! They also have this deal where you can order (must be done in advance) a thirty liter keg for consumption on premises. A real gem!

I checked the place out tonight. Fairly standard Bavarian "Wirtschaft" decor, reasonable prices, prompt and friendly service, and the best Schweinebraten I've ever tasted. The major downside for me was the smoke - the place was fairly full, and almost everyone seemed to be a chain smoker. Some people don't care about that, but I know a lot of other TTers dislike heavy smoke, so I think it important to note.

i checked this place as well and i think it's shit! go to "rotzinger bierklause" near the hauptbahnhof. there you get schweisebraten for about 3 euro and really good bavarian music!

I´ve been there with a friend of mine. He is a real bavarian guy and says that we americans have no ideas. The Schweinebraten at Tattenbach taste terrible and it´s made with a store bought sauce and a store bought potato salad. Then we went to "Lowenbräu Keller" - Stiegelmayer Platz and I tell u folks: The best Schweinebraten in Munich!!!!!

I thought Tattenbach was quite nice. Service really friendly, in comparison with the Löwenbräukeller, which has the most ignorant grumpy waitresses i have ever encountered in my life. I was there on friday, brought about 40 people with, and was disgusted by the way the waitress treated us. Never again.

Well, the Tattenbach is a really nice location and the food is delicious! And the Schweinebraten sauce and Kartoffelsalat is freshly made, so I don't know where you went to eat... The service is always very good and they also like to have a laugh. I can highly recommend this place! Short note: not in all bavarian restaurants they play bavarian music! So don't go there if you need to hear the humptata music..
