Tarim - Uyghur restaurant - Schleissheimerstr. 201, 80809 Munich, Germany

This restaurant is named after the Tarim basin, which is the largest in the world and lies in the Xinjiang province of Northwest China. If you like it hot and spicy, then try the "big plate chicken". This is a great meal for a group. Warning: "hot" means "HOT", not the mild German "sehr scharf". The lamb skewer starter was also great. I went with Chinese friends and the place was packed. It doesn't seem to have been discovered because there were hardly any Europeans there.

The Uyghur are a Turkic-speaking ethnic group living in northwestern China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,Turkey, and Russia. For more info see: Wikipedia Uyghur
