Sushibar - Marschallstr. 2, 80802 Munich, Germany
One of the best Sushi-restaurants in Munich. Everything fresh, tasty and also visually impressive.
Plus: the loungy sober ambience - really not usual in Schwabing - makes this place attractive also just for a drink, together with a regular-affluent (but not posh) clientel.
Plus 2: very nice waitresses

Posted by: "King Kamehameha" at 5:09 pm on 5.May.2007They may have good sushi and service in their restaurant, but home delivery is the WORST!! For the 3rd time, I have had to wait over 2 hours for delivery. This time, I sent the guy away at the door. As a diabetic, I could not wait any longer for the food and ended up having to eat something to calm the hypoglycemia. (and they know it to because I complained the first 2 times!) The first 2 times, they begged for forgiveness and asked me to remain as their customers. This time, I told them that I am really pissed about their service and would not call them anymore.
Posted by: MunichAmi at 7:18 pm on 29.Nov.2008California-stlye fusion sushi (not japanese style). Good quality, hip small trend locale full of yuppie types (and the odd dog), pricey. The menu is arranged in ascending prices (30€ average price for a meal vs starter, and then upwards). Less pricey options tend to be smaller servings and have more rice, less fish. Delicious and good quality fish, though. street dining in the daytime, away from car traffic and with low-to-medium people traffic/people-watching (not too far from the Englischergarten)
Posted by: pipa at 12:34 pm on 4.May.2009I lived in Japan for over 2 years and this is the closest to an authentic Japanese "Izakaya" that I have found in Munich. They might have some of the CA-style things, but the food is the real deal...Itadakimasu!
Posted by: beagle at 1:32 pm on 9.Jul.2009I will not recommend home delivery Sushi unless you are in Japan. As a Japanese, I must say Sushibar is my favorite and serves fresh Sushi! Try Ishimochi carpaccio there, wonderful!
