Listed below are some of the options for taking day trips from Munich to the Bavarian and Austrian ski/snowboard resorts...
Sport-Scheck Ski Buses The Munich sports store Sportscheck provides day trips to the ski resorts by bus. The trips run every Saturday and Sunday from January through April. See Power Tagesfahrten for the schedule. A trip costs about €43 per person. That includes the bus journey, a day lift-pass, and a few goodies on the bus such as coffee, brezen, chocolate snacks, softdrinks, and a copy of the evening paper (the Abendzeitung). Note that these trips do not include any ski or snowboard instruction. For all trips there is only one departure point. This is the carpark at Donnersbergerbrücke, right next to the S-Bahn station at the exit Richelstrasse/Arnulfstrasse. Make sure you book your ticket in advance because the number of places on each trip is limited and the buses are usually full on each trip. And don't be late or the bus will go without you. Finally, seeing as nearly all the trips cross the Austrian border, don't forget your passport! To reserve: Sport-Scheck Travel Center, 6th floor Sendlingerstr. 6, near Marienplatz (U/S-Bahn Marienplatz) Tel.: 089 2166 1253 and 2166 1254 Open Mon-Fri: 10am - 8pm (and from 9am Saturdays) Autobus Oberbayern Travel Center Arnulfstr. 8, near the Hauptbahnhof (central station) Tel: 089 54907560 Open Mon-Fr: 9am - 1pm, 2pm - 6pm, Saturdays 9am - 1pm Schuster Ski Buses Schuster is another of Munich's city center sports stores. They run day trips without instruction but their destinations and prices are rarely published in advance. In fact, they don't even seem to decide on the destinations themselves until a few days beforehand - they go where the snow is. Info about their day trips is posted during the week on the shop noticeboard or on leaflets around their store. Sport Schuster Rosenstrasse 1-5, central Munich (near Marienplatz) Tel. 089 23707299 Website: sport-schuster.de Munich International Ski Club The Munich International Ski Club is a predominantly English speaking group. They run day trips every weekend from January through to March. There are also about 6 longer trips of 3 or 4 days. The prices are around €35 for members paying in advance, €40 for members paying on the bus, and €45 for non-members. A year's membership costs €40. The bus for all day trips leaves Munich at 06.45 hrs. In previous years the meeting point was Giesinger Bahnhof (U-Bahn line U2) but this year they seem to have moved to Böhmerwaldplatz on the U4. For more info and reservations see their website: Munich International Ski Club The Zugspitze / Garmisch-Partenkirchen The Zugspitze, at just over 3,000 metres, is Germany's highest mountain. The glacial ski resort is easily accessable from Munich via train. Buy a ticket at the Hauptbahnhof for about €45. This covers your return train journey plus a full day lift pass for the slopes. Note, however, that the Zugspitze is a very small resort. Advanced skiiers / snowboarders will quickly get bored. Also note that both the Zugspitze and the other slopes at Garmisch (the Alpspitz, Kreuzeck, and Hausberg) are extremely crowded at weekends and queues for the lifts can get quite long. Although the Zugspitze is convenient for Munich, it is not so recommended as a ski destination. The BOB (Bayerische Oberlandbahn) The 'BOB' is the train service which connects Munich to many of the ski resorts in Oberbayern. For details see: bayerischeoberlandbahn.de Günter Murphy's Ski Bus The Irish Pub - Günther Murphy's - sometimes runs day trips by minibus. For more details see their website: Günther Murphy's Ski Bus. Weather and snow reports For an overview of the current ski conditions see TT's Munich Snow Sports Update |

You'd be better off asking this question on the forum.
But be sure to use the search function first. This question has already been answered numerous times. Search on the term: resorts Here's the direct link: http://www.toytownmunich.com/xtra/search/?q=resorts |
