Went to Shoya Cuisine for the lunch menu yesterday. The food (tuna steak) was delicious, but at almost 13 euros I'm not going to make it a regular lunchtime haunt. Also worth noting that the lunch menu doesn't include soup, rice, or green tea, which is unusual for a Japanese restaurant.
Posted by: "Baka Gaijin" at 4:46 pm on 29.Jun.2006The best Sushi in town, also larger servings as usual, with nice warm food too (tempura, etc.). The menu is messy! But photos on the walls help you choose. It is very cosy, but tiny inside, so don't bring your luggage or your double-pass along (I seen some customers trying to make their way through the place dragging around such things!) The food comes very quickly, like in a take away. There are nice and uncommon sushi combinations: eel special menu for instance... It is well worth its money!

I just ate lunch there today and I will never go back, the staff was friendly enough, but the sushi wasn't worth it. This is the first time I've had sushi in Munich so my expectations weren't high, but I would've expected a better selection and at least a little better quality. I honestly think they have the worst Maguro that I've ever had! If you like sushi, then stay away from this place.
