I checked out Showroom last night on a whim after a colleague mentioned she'd enjoyed a meal there at the weekend. Run by a very friendly young couple, the restaurant has a limited menu but the food, billed as "cross-over, world food", was gorgeous. The atmosphere was very relaxed with chilled tunes and 10 TV screens that were showing clips of sunsets over beaches around the world. There's also a bar for those who just want to pop in for a cocktail and it's well located for a pre-cinema (Museum Lichtspiele) or pre-gig (Gasteig) dinner. Whilst not exactly cheap, if I hadn't just bought a flat, I would want to make this place my home!

Absolutely divine! Without a doubt the best new and relatively undiscovered restaurant in Munich.
