Shiva - Munich

We used to go here all the time. Its a nice cosy restaurant, the food is pretty good, they will make it spicy for you if you ask, the service is friendly and it seems to get its fair share of regulars.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Portions are not huge but taste very good. When the place is empty, you sometimes feel a bit "observed", but at least the waiters are not ignoring you.

True to it's name, Shiva brought destruction to my digestive tract and I couldn't be happier. Tired as hell of the bland German take on foreign cuisine (not to mention German food itself), I went here with three others last night. We split the Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tiki Masala, Chicken Spinach, something else I can't recall, nan, palaw, etc. Everything was extra hot except the Chicken Spinach. In fact, it was hot enough to make me sweat and that is saying something (I usually delight in Wasabi and Guatemalan Insanity Peppers straight). Everything was outstanding. I'll be back here soon.

Best Indian food I've found in Munich so far (in almost 7 years)...the one place where they know what you mean when you say you'd like it 'hot' and not 'German-hot' :)

Was there last night with the curry night, the food was very good, except there were peas in my Jalfrezi (I don't like peas), but the spice was good without asking for it spicier.

Was there last Thursday. Excellent food! Spicy Jalfrezi for me and mild Duck masala for my friend both hit the spot. Will be going back soon.

have eaten at the Shiva for the last 12 years, food has always been excellent and they are more than happy to spice it up to meet your tastes if desired. I recommend the samosa's which are not available at to many places around Munich along with anything out of the tandoori..... The staff are always friendly and welcoming, having eaten in many of the Indian's in and around Munich this is definately my favourite and can fully recommend trying it out..... It is always a good idea to make a reservation for visiting in the evenings, especially on a Friday/Saturday night. Stu.

I eat there twice last year and was served well and the meals did taste very good. This is my favorite indian restaurant.

Took two mates from the UK last week. They were both very impressed. Excellent food! I really recommend the meat thali, spiced as you want it.

I was in the restaurent , and find really great indian food, spicy as you want and taste is fantastic.Must visit if you want really good indian food.

We eat here regularly, the Boti Masala is one of the most amazing sauces I have eaten. Adi the owner and sometimes chef is a great guy, and all the other staff are very friendly.
