Seoul is a Korean restaurant that shares the site of the Hotel Mercure in Schwabing. A short walk north of Münchener Freiheit it has an excellent range of Korean food - and cooking style - you can do it yourself at your table!
A visiting friend and his Korean girlfriend were over and 'so we had to try it' type night - and she gave it 7/10 for authenticity!

Have visited them a few days ago with my german partner and would highly recommend them for their Mix seafood, Vegetables and etc in a steamboat. It was 25 for two people (very affordable) and the amount was reasonable too. While we were there, the crowds were mostly koreaners :) My Asian friend love their saptche (fried glass noodles with better portion and also quality of fried beef and veggies @ 13. It definitely taste alot better than the same dish in zum koreaner @ only4.50
Posted by: Andy101 at 3:17 pm on 29.May.2006I had two guys on a recent tour of mine who were from Seoul, they went to this restaurant and told me if I wanted a very authentic Korean meal, I should go there. Coming from those guys, it should be good.
Posted by: NOFXmike at 4:25 pm on 27.Oct.2007I frequent this place (with interruptions on my side) for over 25 years. If you know Korean food, this is the place to go. Truly authentic Korean dishes. Order Bul-Go-Gi and you can’t go wrong. Or venture out for something a bit more exotic (Maeun-Tang) boiled mixed fish. If you never had Korean food, most of it is served with a variety of small side dished. Most famous naturally is Kim-Chi (pickled cabbage), pickled radish etc. Most of the side dished are served cold. Friendly service at reasonable prices.
Posted by: "z-man99" at 4:23 pm on 19.Apr.2008Well I am the first person to disagree with the positive comments. I went to Seoul restaurant in May 2008 based on these positive comments and I have to say that I was very disappointed. When we asked for a table for two the waitress looked at me like I was speaking in an alien tongue. It took her 5 seconds to understand and take us to our table. Throughout the whole time, she was behaving like she was in another dimension. Every question or request we made was met with a blank stare. We tried German and English and it was the same. The standard of the food we ordered was also not special by any means - we could have cooked the same dishes at home and I promise I am not exaggerating. We were really disappointed having visited a much better Korean restaurant the previous weekend (sadly, that was in Dusseldorf)
