Schuhbecks Südtiroler Stuben - Munich

According to Guide Gault-Millau, this is one of the best restaurants in Munich. Only Tantris and Koenigshof score higher. Michelin gives it a star. Chef Alfons Schubeck is a celebrity. Of course the prices correspond to the reputation. It's a special occasion place I want to try somtime when feeling flush. GaultMillau - Schubecks

We went there over the christmas holidays. Many of my friends had a wonderful time there before so we had high expectations. Unfortunately we did not have a great time. The staff is running around uncoordinated and not knowing at which table to serve and in general did not make us feel at ease. The ambience is dull. The food was ok but not worth EUR 73 for a three course meal a person. To my surprise I found a sticker in my red cabbage stating "Suedtiroler Aepfel". Well we were compensated with free desert and coffee and the waiter apologized but needless to say that you can have a better time somewhere else for less money. No need to go there in my opinion.
