Used to really enjoy coming here, and then they opened up much better curry houses around Munich. The service has always been very friendly, but the food could be better.

Well, my girlfriend and I seem to be having weekly attempts to find the best curry house around and this one is certainly up there with the best. Probably edges swagat JUST due to location and free poppadoms!!! p.s anyone who wants to try a new curry try a 'Karahi Ghosht'. Me all time favorite served sizzlin in the pan.

If you liked Sangam, Meaty, then you should also try Sangeet. Sangeet is the newly opened restaurant just off Odeonsplatz and it's owned by the same people as Sangam.

Very disappointed. We went on Friday night, we won't be going back. They took our order fairly quickly, and we could see the service was slow so we waited patiently. And waited. After an hour and a half we were very hungry so we asked where our order was only to be told it had got lost. Of course they offered to put the order through again but by then we were too hungry to wait for even longer so we paid for our drinks and left. What made us so fed up was that the waiters had two people sitting in the middle of their restaurant for all that time without wondering what we were doing there, and perhaps, being in a restaurant, we were waiting for some food :-( Worst thing is, it's a nice looking restaurant, close to home, with a great vegetarian menu. Oh well, on to the next one.

You waited for an hour and a half to complain! Not sure who's the bigger fool, you or the waiters.

As I said - we could see the service was slow. The table next to us had arrived just before us and didn't get any food for an hour and a half either. At least they got to eat eventually though.....

IMO the best curry house in Munich... Luckily have never had any problems with the service, they even catered for 20 of us with no problems...

We visited this restaurant on a whim last night and what a pleasant experience it turned out to be. The restaurant itself is neat and tidy, is nicely decorated and spacious, and has a non-smoking section. Service was pleasant and efficient, the waiter even obliged us with some English. I had the Baigan Mirchi ka Salan (EUR 10,50) which is described as Baby aubergines in chili, peanut, coconut, sesame and tamarind sauce - it came with Basmati rice. This is easily the best curry I have ever had in Munich. My husband tried the breyani with some Dhal Makhni. The only downside was that I twice spotted the barman filling up Pellegrini bottles with what must have been Pellegrini on tap at the bar, and rush it to tables in the smoking section - not sure if this is some sort of accepted practice here. Overall though, an Indian restaurant of note.

Nice big place, but I didn´t liked the spice level. I was there twice, once with an indian guy. Ordered any time something "very spicy". But recieved the meal together with extra sauce. I can´t complain about the extra sauce, it was really the Killer Spicy. But I would more accept it if my meal would be prepared as I requested it.

We were there last week, the standard has dropped but unfortunately the prices have risen drastically. There were five of us, we waited almost two hours for our main course. The madras was requested to be "English hot" but tasted exactly the same as the korma. We complained but were brushed off with "staff shortages". Rather unfortunate as we had taken out of town guests, and had raved about the place. Never again!!!
