My office is closeby and I tried it last week. Atmosphere is nice but fish didn't taste that fresh, esp. the Unagi (freshwater eel). Though it's normally my favorite, I could barely swallow it down... maybe the cooked dishes are better?

Posted by: "Anonymous" at 11:25 pm on 25.Jan.2006For me it seems to be a sleeper under Munich's japanese restaurants. Above all it's not a quarter so expensive like most others. I tasted the Zukkini to Ebi No Suiwan Soup which was very good, the Sashimi Moriawase (here I missed the radish, but fish was quite fresh and good) and the Kamoteri Yaki duck, for 7.70 (!!!) no problem. The service is quite ok, the restaurant is clean an the ambience is decent. A remark at the end: At least for the moment, the very golden age of japanese restaurants in Munich is over. We haven't neither a Daitokai anymore nor a Matoi in its best time!
