Munich's fashion csar. Owns a shop called "Moshammer" on Maximilianstrasse - Munich's most expensive shopping street.

Update: Found dead in his Munich-Grünwald apartment on Friday morning, 14.Jan.2005. He was discovered by his chauffeur, lying with a telephone cable around his neck. He had been murdered by a 25 year old rent boy who he had picked up earlier in the evening. For more see: diepresse.com - Moshammer (in German) or the TT chat forum: Moshammer dead

Official Website: Rudolph Moshammer (That's: moshammer.de - but it went offline the day he died and was still offline as of 28.Jan.2005, will it be back as a memorial? Time will tell.)

Many people seem to have trouble with the correct spelling of Rudolph Moshammer. Here are some of the (incorrect) alternatives: Mooshammer, Moshamer, Mooshamer, Moosehammer, Rudy, Rudi, Rudolf

you definitely should walk in his shop as he's always there. his taste in clothes is debatable, but they're really worth a look.

And don't forget his dog Daisy, he never is without her. Lately she (yes, the dog) has published her autobiography which is also available as audio book. the dog, a tiny yorkshire terrier is nearly more famous then Mosi himself, always wears a blue ribbon on her head.

Mosi is pretty wealthy and does a lot for any kind of charity.

And don't forget the hairpiece. Oh yes, the hairpiece. Mosi is what, in his late fifties? Maybe early sixties? Yet his "hair" is still jet black and thick as... well, thick as a thick thing. Oh, and with a silly little quiff down the middle of the forehead. Just like the world's most famous kiddie fiddler, Whacko Jacko. I'd love to see Mosi as he goes to bed at night. Probably bald as coot.

Nothing against the guy though! As bubbles mentioned, he does a lotta great work for charity, mate. So he's famous and has a loyal following, so good for him! So he's a plonker. But a loveable plonker.

Yeah, take a look in his shop. Good luck actually getting in though. He has two 7 foot young lads on the door who absolutely will not let you pass unless you're dressed in such a way as to make them think you're gonna spend the best part of a grand on a pair of cotton socks or something.

well I actually do not like this guy at all. Last year I was in his shop because I wanted to buy a tie for my hubby. I had someone advise me on what tie to buy and when it came to paying, on second thought I did not want to put the tie on my credit card because hubby sees the bill and I did not want him to know how much his present had cost. So I asked for the tie to be held for me for 5 mins while I went to the bank machine to get the cash out and suddenly Moshammer shoots up from his seat like some nasty insect from outa space and says I need to leave a deposit. I said no, I would be back in 5 mins. So he had a big tirade about these bloody Americans always coming in his shop and not buying and I said well, if you talk to me like that I sure won't buy anything. And he says you wouldn't have done anyway you are American. I asked: don't you like Americans. And he said no. I said: I can't do anything about my nationality and that is not very nice of him. And he said he eas tired of Americans and just to leave his shop. This left a very bad taste in my mouth and ever since then, I do not believe any of his "nicey-kindy" image he tries to put on in public. I think he only does it for show. Someone who is that racist and nasty cannot be kind at heart, no way, no chance.

Americans and Germans are of the same race, are they not? The above comment may be accusing Mosi of Xenophobia, but not racism.

Not that I'm defending Mosi. I also think he's an idiot. In fact, I think you'll find most Munich people think he's an idiot.

Was at the starkbierfest a few years back when Moshammer showed up. Virtually the entire tent tent stood up & cheered his entrance, whether they were being sarcastic or not was hard for me to tell but judging by your average münchners sarcasm/irony bypass i should imagine they weren't.
Incidentally Mosi then positioned himself on a table en route to the toilets so everyone could see him as the went past. The vain prick.

Some nutter tried to kill Mosi last week. Wonder if the attacker "came at him from behind".

Hello,

I had a bad experience with that guy: I have bought an expensive shirt some months ago. When washing it the 4th or 5th time the collar became slightly yellow. Also some of the sews were defective, so I decided to send an e-mail to the gentleman. After some weeks without having received and feedback, I have sent him the shirt to have a look at it. After more than 4 weeks still no comment... I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THAT PERSON AGAIN. C&A offered a better service when I had trouble with one of their products !!
