It is a good restaurant with reasonable prices. We've tried Lamb and Chicken dishes.Chicken Vindaloo was not as spicy as expected but tasted good..Also tried Paneer which was relatively fresh..Overall,food was great!!!!Meal for 2 would cost you around 25 euros...Ofcourse,we got the Indian Tea as complimentary.....

We have tried this restaurant over the weekend. Friendly atmosphere and good food. Samosa tasted fresh and good. 'Bhindi Masala' was good and the cook made it really spicy for us. Highly recommended!!

Three of us from our company went to this place (not for the first time) yesterday for lunch and three hours later we were all extremely ill and all went home. We all had chicken dishes. I will not be going back there.

We went to this restaurant with family and was impressed with the interior and the warm welcome we received. The food was great overall and specially the tea served after the lunch was excellent (which was a compliment). I will highly recommend this restaurant to one and all.

Since the first day that we decided to try india meal, we are thrilled from the fabulous food. Astonished about the assortments we get, the owner always take his time to recommend us the meal depending on what we would like to try. The foods where always fresh, tasted fantastic and spicy when we wanted too. The restaurant on his own, with his warm lilac walls and india music that silent plays in the background, receive you with warmness and harmony. From the appetizer to the final Mango-creme, we are really hooked! Take a try on your own, you will not be disappointed.

wunderfull! The grill dish is the best i ever tasted! I've been fallen in love with it! And the filled Nam with meat and cheese is delightfull too. I will recommend this to everyone, who would like to eat "REAL" india food. Will go there again, thats sure.

We went there with family and I tryed the vegetables. Really tasty. Can recommend this as alternation to meat. The lens, as india specialty, in tomato creme sauce were really delightfull. Even the tea served after lunch is something you should try, too! The restaurant has a clean appearance, the owner and his wife are always in a good mood, ever attentive and very obliging. I got the tip from friends which went there, and I enjoyed this evening a lot. Will recommend it to others, too.

Folks if you really want to enjoy Authentic Indian Food,,By far ROYAL INDIA is the best restaurant in Munich.

I think the Restaurant peoples are writing themselves reviews for their restaurant as there is nothing special in this restaurant as written above. Food is average as well the service. One should go at their own risk.

I don't know what "Peter"s problem is. I am Vietnamese and I love food. Normally indian food has a dry taste for me (hope you know what I mean). A friend of mine told me to go to Royal India and I was really suprised! The food is fantastic, has a nice taste (now I also love indian food), service is excellent, friendly!Highly recommended!!

Had a very good Jheenga-Goa there last night. He told me it was scharf. I replied that I wanted it really scharf. He asked if I meant American hot or English hot. I told him I meant a little less than Bunfar hot. He chuckled. I wasn't disappointed. Papadums were a little soft but the accompanying sauces were excellent. Had a garlic naan which wasn't eaten until later due to my being stuffed but was perfectly happy with it. Mango schnapps in a frozen glass was a welcome end to the meal. Owner is a very pleasant chap and quite happy to stop for a chit-chat, as was his very cute two year old son.

The food was ok type, you cant tell its awesome, and just wanted to share my bitter experince which i had with this restaurant, i had two drinks, which told in menu card as 2.5 euro per drink, but when the bill came, it was charged double the rate, i was totally shocked and even more i was shocked when the person gave me some bullshit explanation. As some said above, you should go to this restaurant at your own risk.

I went there last saturday with my girlfriend, but frankly speaking it's not as great as some people mentioned here. Food is ok, service is a bit slow, my girlfriend was not so happy with the toilet, the waiter gave us wrong suggestions and we ended up ordering too much !! A couple came after us but was served before... maybe they have an explanation, but I don't care. Later the guy didn't accept my credit card giving some stupid excuses. The only satisfactory thing probably was the food, which was ok. But, I don't think I'll go there again, there are better Indian restaurants in Munich !

I dont know what people problems are..Mr/Ms Prakash has shared the bitter experience they faced in Royal India..Bitter.. I dont know and I am really surprised how come people dont think when they write.. and they have defined such a stupid thing as a bitter experience and I feel for the first time they have gone to some restaurant. I am a British and I have many German collegues and we know the restaurant owner and his wife since the restaurant was opened and we have tried everything like from food to drinks.I say services are ok however they have never cheated anyone in the prices. And I think person has done absolutely right by giving bullshit explanation as he has no other choice because this is only way to treat people like them who crave for money like this which is only another 5 Euros.. And I would rather suggest you Mr/Ms Prakash ,, its better you dont take so called " RISK" and save your money... Another thing crowd,, one should make their own notions and choices about anything. Dont depend on what people are saying.. So go and try,and make your own experience..I say Royal India Still VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED

I had a takeaway mutton nilgiri, which is one of my standard meals. It was a dull brown colour (normally this dish tends somewhat to green), tasted bland (I asked for it nice and spicy; they told me it's a dish that can't be too hot. That was fine; but normally it's very tasty), and the meat was very tough. I won't be giving them a second try.
