This is a brand new bar which has recently opened a couple of doors down from Max Suite. It reminds me a little of Vanilla Lounge but is substantially trendier. There is a coffee table seating area at the front - a shop window type affair looking out over Maximiliansplatz. There is a long bar in the middle with bar-stool seating. And then at the back on a slightly raised platform is a lounge area with comfy cream-coloured sofas. It's all very designer. Even has Mood-Lights. Fits the Maximiliansplatz style nicely. Nothing like the Rick's Bar which used to be at Kunstpark Ost a couple of years ago.

Rick's Bar doesn't appear to be open for business yet. Only just this weekend they installed the sign outside. Inside they're still touching up the paintwork and connecting the bar pipework. The opening must be imminent though. And when it does open, you're right, it will be a very cool space. Looking forward to it. I think we can expect to see photos from the opening party splashed about various papers and websites in the near future. Maybe this weekend?

They've already stripped out the bar, the furniture, and the Mood Lights™. I wonder how much money the proprietors sunk into this? Seems like lots of bars and restaurants have been closing the last month or two. It's the time of year. Lots will open in their place in the Autumn. It's the natural cycle of things.
