There still exists an Indian restaurant at this location. But it is now called Lahore.

This is my absolute favourite curry house. If you really pine for the sort of curry you used to get back in the U.K, then give this place a try. I would definitely recommend the onion bhajis, which are proper onion bhajis with plenty of spices, unlike the glorified onion rings you seem to get in other Munich curry houses. The Chicken and Chana Chaat starters are also to die for. The staff there are really friendly, and in fact the only thing going against this restaurant is the location which leaves it slightly off the beaten track. But I would definitely recommend you take the effort to track it down. Oh, and my friends are going to kill me for letting on about this place, but I'm recommending it from a purely selfish motive...I want the place to remain open. Prices - roughly around 4 Euro per starter, 8 to 15 Euro for a main.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 12:36 pm on 3.Jun.2003Kurfürstenplatz is not so far off the beaten track. It's only about 5 minutes walk from the U2 at Hohenzollernplatz and about 10-15 minutes from the U3/U6 at Giselastr.
Posted by: "Dave" at 8:08 am on 12.Jun.2003This place beats all of the other Indian restaurants in Munich hands down. They make the dishes exactly as you ask and always make sure hot dishes are also spicy and tasty as well. Try the Buhna - it is brilliant.
Posted by: "Mike" at 6:56 pm on 3.Sep.2003didnt think it was that special to be honest. as an wannabee expert on vindaloo, this one didnt impress me much. didnt like the old bloke who served us. place looked a bit run down to me. 5/10.
Posted by: "Chief.Insp. Bob Toal" at 12:26 pm on 9.Feb.2004My favourite Indian restaurant in Munich. You can't go past the friendly service and 'good spicy' curry. The hotter, the better. The butter chicken and Krahi veggies are great!
Posted by: "Rebecca" at 2:39 pm on 20.Feb.2004good all purpose curry house which also has a delivery service, which we avail ourselves of a bit too often. very friendly service and fresh tasting food. will second the person who cited their onion bhajis. they are delicious!
Posted by: "jane" at 5:50 pm on 8.Mar.2005This restaurant has changed name. They are now called "Lahore". It is still Indian. Well, to be precise they are now claiming to be "Pakistani-Indian". I'm not sure what the difference is. I dunno if the management or the cuisine has changed, but surely it can't be that much different.
Posted by: "Edwina Curry" at 4:41 pm on 29.Jul.2005In fact Lahore is run by the same people as Deeba, down on Barer Str. - thought the menu looked familiar. Cuisine was maybe slightly better at Prince India, in my opinion, but it's pretty good, and they're very eager to please.
