Pomp is a pretty exclusive little bar. Firstly, it's located in a non-intuitive location, meaning you?ll have to look for it. Secondly, the door actually has a little sign that says "Members Only" - you have to be part of a very small scene to get through the door when they are busy. I'm not, but I've looked in a couple of times.
It's a bar modelled on an 18th century boudoir, with red walls, paintings and chandeliers, and at around midnight it gets very busy, to the extent that you really couldn't get in even if you were part of the scene and you can't see through the windows because they are all steamy.
Check the cars parked outside and you'll soon realise this is like P1-plus. If you do get in you'll meet some real characters, and probably get to know some very nice, vaguely famous people, but I wouldn't rely on that happening. Still, you can always fall back on Pappasito's across the road...
