Pauer is a Latino bar and restaurant. Previously the location was called "Mamasita", but in 2004 they changed the official name to "Pauer". They haven't dropped the name Mamasita completely, however. They say that after 13 years of being known as Mama's they simply can't afford to loose the branding they've built up.
As you'd expect for a Latino bar, they play latino music. It's usually pretty smooth. A good tip to know is that every Monday they have a buffet from 5pm til 8.30pm. They call it an "After-Weekend" party. The good thing about this is that the food is paid for by an honesty box system. So if you're a dishonest cheap-skate like me you can get away with filling your face for just the price of a small beer - 2.80.
A special mention about the décor; there are literally hundreds of framed pictures on the walls. Hang-on, pictures is not the right word; art photos is more like it. Not the calendar shot of FC Bayern Munich but some superb photos of many different subjects. Worth a look.
I drank my first Caipiriñha ever in this place. What a bad idea that was. I have been trying to give up this hideous affliction since that day. Caipiriñha and Caipiroska's are 4 all night long on Mondays.

You should mention the girls who hang out at the bar. Clearly not all of them are regular guests but "ladies of the night" if you catch my drift.
