They closed sometime mid-2005. In it's place comes a second branch of Pasta e Basta.

Here is the original Park-Cafe Noodles review:

I love this kind of restaurant. Elegant and clean interior design. A dining table area as well as a lounge section. Moody candy coloured lighting. And very reasonably priced Italian food. This is one of the most talked about new restaurants in Munich right now. And deservedly so. The atmosphere here is great - way better than the bar that was at this address previously - and the pasta dishes cost just 7 to 9 Euros.

Nice place, great simple food and relaxed atmosphere. Very funky lighting too!

Excellent food, and not as pretentious as you might expect it to be...

Never eaten there but will do, cocktails are great. Not sure about the sexual orientation of the clientel but each to their own! ;)

was there yesterdey The clientele consisted in normal people, as well as in typical "Gärtnerplatzviertel" public (so, nice and chic, but not snobbish). The waitress confirmed this impression; even if i wasn´t specially well dressed, she gave me immediately the last table, apparently reserved. And the pasta, notwithstanding the small choice, was really really top (and not overpriced). Altogether a good experience.

The best Pasta in town. Nice Service, excellent wines. My favorite in Munich.

Finally went there last night. They were closed for about a month in August. There are chalk boards outside the restaurant indicating their specials, currently Pasta Happy Hour (not sure what that means) is from 18:00 to 20:00hr, and Cocktail Happy Hour from 23:00 to 01:00. Food ===== Variety - not that great, only 2 small pages of pasta to choose from Presentation - pastas come in nice oval bowls with a small dish of grated cheese at the side Taste - very well cooked, but a bit too saltish (next time I will ask them to make it less salty) Value - quantity not that much for the price but quality is good Cocktails ========= Variety - medium Presentation - good Taste - had a caipirinhia and a mango daiquiri; the caipirinhia was very undiluted and the best I've had so far in Munich Value - about €6.90, good value Overall ======== Location - Great, when you come out of Fraunhoferstr U-bahn stop, head for the Gärtnerplatz exit, then it's immediately across the street; but parking may be a bit difficult Ambience - Cool lights like in the photos above Service - Good friendly and fast Price - a bit pricey when not happy hour (paid €33.80 dinner for two) Conclusion - Nice place, a bit empty last night but there are some couches to relax and chat, music not too loud, floor space quite wide so makes it seem a bit empty

Anybody knows what happened to this restaurant? Been closed for weeks? Was planning to have some pasta there, but lights have been out with no sign of when or whether they will return.

I preferred this place when it was parcafe-next door. Was a nice place to hang out and have a few cocktails

I had the same experience as Why8. Still has website and signs indicate opening times but no action. Went past last Wednesday to drop in but no sign of life, and no sign that they are permanently closed.....strange....
