Papatakis - Leopoldstr. 42, 80802 Munich, Germany

Only ate here once and won't again the food wasn't very nice. Looks as if it might be good when its busy for live Greek entertainment.

Leopoldstr. 42
Munich Schwabing

Note, Papatakis, until sometime in 2004/5 was located at Römerstrasse 15. They then moved to take the address of the former Schwabinger Wirthaus.

I've been here late weekend evenings and the place is hopping with Uni kids having a great time dancing to live music. I've had pretty decent experiences with the food, but my boyfriend says that the time to go is when they roast a lamb- it's excellent. When does that happen? You probably have to call and ask.

I am presuming Papatakis has changed address to Leopold Str 42, downstairs beside Don Luca's because I just had my birthday party there on Sunday night. Food was very good and served pretty quickly, but the atmosphere in the place was fantastic...everybody was up dancing on tables and there was a belly dancer. The guys were very impressed with the large quantity of fit greek girls there also;-) all in all highly recommended and great place for a party.

Nico, the obscure Greek/Ethiopian film director who shares a name with this poor excuse for restaurant, has decided to change his surname after I just gave him a bell and passed on my critique. Bad points : Overcooked chicken (OK, better than undercooked chicken, but only slightly), vegetables whose source was obviously McCain's tender frozen goods section, microwaved Moussaka, and a waiter who looked like he would rather shit in my food than serve it, and quite possibly did. Good points : None apart from location. Actually, the toilets were spacious. That's about all I can think of really. So, if you're after a night out, and your only criteria is the size of the bog, then this is the place for you.

A WORST Greek restaurant i have been so far. Small portion, Ordinary food, Probably the worst service of my life. ATTENTION!!! Waste of Money and Time; If you want to spoil your evening, this place is recommended.

No way. This restaurant is great. Every time I've gone the service was fast, friendly, they give you free shots of Ouzo and during live music nights, the place is hopping with uni students, dancing and a lively crowd. The portions are HUGE. Plus, being Greek myself, the food wasn't "ordinary" as commented above.
