Palast der Winde - Hans-Sachs-Str. 8, 80469 Munich, Germany
Hans-Sachs 8, Isarvorstadt
Very very delicious food. Service was great and the owner was a really nice man. We had Lamb Kadai and Kofta and both were very delicious. Can't speak much for the interior. Looked a bit old and wasn't too cozy but still a pretty decent restaurant. It is quite big too.
Posted by: "roots" at 10:25 pm on 24.Oct.2005Have to back up roots on this .... Palast der Winde is a favourite of mine. Excellent food and service, good prices. Every time I'm there I wonder why there are not more people - I can only guess its the decor, but then again, I think that gives it a certain charm. Try it out.
Posted by: "Mailbags" at 7:54 am on 26.Oct.2005Possibly the worst I've had, not only in Munich. I had lamb tikka masala. It's supposed to come out of a tandoori oven, but I very much doubt it did. Perhaps it did a very long time ago, but it tasted like it had just been warmed up a bit. Plus, I thought the meat itself was a bit off. The sauce tasted similar to what you get in a German Imbißbude, i.e. some sort of "Curry-/Schaschliksoße". The beer was also a bit weird, never heard of that brand (can't even remember the name).
Posted by: oli2000 at 11:04 am on 17.Nov.2005The Curry Night thread says it all.. Just about everybody's food sucked, and half the people were doing gut crunches the next morning. This place has been banned by the TT Curry Committee. Its name shall be banned from this website and never be spoken of again...

Posted by: gobinderrekhi at 1:43 am on 25.Mar.2008Been there last evening with a group. Everybody that I asked liked their meal very much. I can only second that. Very friendly staff. A friend of mine ordered his Chicken Tikka Massala very spicy and it was really very spicy, you could see the sweat running from his forehead.
