Paddy's Irish Pub - Munich

I spent a lot of time in that bar. I always enjoyed it. People did fight over the karaoke song list though... Everyone wanted to sing "My Way" and were ready to fight for it. Good times.

That place used to be a real hole. Massive amounts of drug dealing, fights, fights with the police. Haven't been for years though it must have improved a little.

I'm surprised to hear this pub is still going, was a dive but a great place. I worked there 12 years ago and never served a pint of guiness the whole time I was there. Greatest memory of the place was serving gravy on the mince pies at christmas. Of course there was massive drug dealing, why else would people have gone? Would be interesting to know if Ali and Saeed are still around and trusting each other as much as ever.

ooh I worked there about 12 years ago too...do we know eachother?? I left just before the big drug scene started...think my last night of work, a dude asked me if we sold Pils...well he meant Pills actually! didn't the place get raided by the cops for drugs?...whenever the phone rang on the wall, the caller always asked for 'Dodgy Steve/Dave/Mike/Mick'. EVERYONE was dodgy. I heard Saeed did a runner, and left Ali to it on his own. not sure it's an Irish Pub any more it's maybe back to being called Hopfendolde. there wasn't much Irish about it to be honest...I was so embarrassed that we didn't sell Guinness/Irish Beer. I remember Ali telling me they just named the bar Paddy's to cash in on the whole Irish Pub thing, but the brewery (Spaten?) wouldn't allow them to sell Irish stuff.

Wow, this place is still in business?? I used to do that damn Karaoke show! Thank god that dive didn't drag me down completely! (though I saw enough girls end up complete bums!) I did the karaoke thing from '95 onwards for about 5 years...worst job I ever had after they stopped my free drinks! Something in between insisting that 'My Way' could not be sung 7 times a night by some bum drug dealer and telling the Neo Nazis that I will not play their racist Karaoke CDs! What a mix! And yeah...it was constantly raided for drugs.. Can't believe the place is still there...

I remember getting wankered on Tequila in there. They'd play the Tequilla Song and Tequilla was 1 DM as long as it lasted. :-)

I used to work there too!! It was mad but we had some great times. Cannot believe its still going. I worked there about 12/13 years ago. Remember Steve, Andy, Ali and Saeed. Does anyone know where Phil is???

This place is no longer is making any claim to being an irish pub so maybe it should be taken off the list of Irish pubs?

I presented the karaoke nights there from September '95 into mid '96 intially on Thursdays and Sundays. I later dropped the Sundays to present karaoke at Guenther Murphy's. Strangely enough I always had a better night at Paddy's. During my time there we had great nights with great people. Fun times !
