Authentic ayurvedic food.

Incidently, useless piece of historical trivia: the premises occupied by Natraj were once an Irish pub called the Fiddler's Green.

The lamb tikka masala and dal makhani were exceptionally good. Great service though my coat stank of the restaurant for the next three days. Will definitely visit this one again.

I strongly recommend the Natraj which is across the road from cinema on nymphenburgstr about 5 mins walk direction rotkreuzplatz. Its a fairly new place and they make the curries as you want them. I have knowledge as I'm indian and usually pissed off with the standard of curry houses. When I was last there I used the "hey brother" line and got popadams and the various sauces as we do back home, you know onions etc.. and told him I didn't want the stuff he was giving to the white folks - worked a treat.

I love Indian food, but this was far and away my worst Indian experience anywhere, and I've been to alot of Indian restaurants. This restaurant has the perfect location (across from English Cinema), and is always full, so they've stopped trying. The potatoes in the Vindaloo were rock hard and cold, and I counted only two small pieces of chicken. We waited 1.5 hours before our food came, and they forgot some of what we ordered. We weren't the only customers who had issues, either - at the next table, one of the diners took the waiter aside and almost got into a fist fight with him.... TWO THUMBS DOWN.

After Goa, my favourite curry house in Munich. Its a small cosy restaurant and the owners are just nice friendly people. The food is very good and, if you reach Stam gast status, they tend to whip up fab desserts etc for free. Each dish can be ordered mild to hotter than you can handle. Like Mr. regular, I've only ever had good service and food there. They know that a lot of the time you want to get to the cinema afterwards, and provided you let them know, they will make an effort to accommodate your schedule. I'm particularly fond of the Malay Chicken. They're quite good at the sizzling dishes. I've been going there since not long after it opened and will continue going when visiting the cinema.

I am Indian and I can say that I will NEVER eat here again. My husband, brother and I paid the price dearly the following morning....samosas were frozen and the food was AWFUL. Beware because you have been warned!

Was in Natraj last week with a group of 10. It took 1.5 hours from the time we ordered until the time the food came. The server and owner were exceptionally nice, and the food (when it finally came) was good, but still. An hour and a half?! The Indian guy that was with us says he goes all the time in small groups, and it's quick. So my advice, try it out in a small group, but AVOID Natraj if you're a large group or are pressed for time!

Fantastic food served spicy if requested. I don't know a better Indian in Munich. The onion bahjis are not just battered onion rings and the Lamb boti kebab is really tasty. We have never had any problems with the service which has always been very friendly. I would definately suggest trying this place out.

The food here is amazing! We had the veggie thali for two and it was more then enough. Must say the jalfrazi here does suck but then again it's not something us indians eat at home. Yes it took a little longer, but they told us when ordering it would. Worth the wait. A little more pricey then the other indian places and the portions are slightly smaller (which does me just fine) Will be going there again.

Great food would recommend this place. We had free poppadoms and chutneys, followed by home made onion bhajis, veggie thali for two and two drinks, followed by free dessert. Service was prompt and friendly. Cost 37.50euro. Would go there again before visiting the cinema. Website: www.natrajmuenchen.de

If you want to experience and enjoy real, authentic Indian cuisine you should definitely give the “Natraj in Munich a try. The attentive and polite service and the truly tasteful food contribute to make the visit to an experience. Let yourself get introduced to the Indian cuisine with all its various flavours and its delicious different spices. The restaurant's executive chef, the unintrusive Mr Naresh Pulkar, has the gift of picking just the right dishes for you if you are undecided. Everybody who has only little time for lunch but who does not want to do without a good meal should check out the well-priced luchtime specials. Moreover, everybody who wants to learn more about India, has to have a talk with Mr Pulkar about culture, religion and politics of his country. During all our visits at the Natraj, we were never dissapointed, but content and invigorated.

we recently went there for a quick meal before a movie and were very pleased. Service was friendly, fast and attentive, the food was excellent and in sufficient quantity and they gave us a free desert that was quite tasty. This was our second visit and we had enjoyed it the first time too. The prices seemed decent. Definitely recommend.

I strongly recommend Natraj as one of the best Indian Restaurants in town. The Service is very personal, very friendly. The food is just great-fresh ingredients with a very original taste of India. My favourite dish changes from Butter Chicken to Chicken Tikka to Mutton Jhalfrezi to any Vindaloo - so basically I love any dish there.

We hit the place with the TT Curry Night. First, our group was too big for the Restaurant (~20 people). Very slow service, also for the supply of beer while we waited. I had asked for extra spicy and it wasn't - to be fair this happens, but I didn't have the patience this time to wait for hot sauce.

went there on saturday, not bad. Service was quick (possibly too quick) and the portions were good size and spicy enough. Chicken main course may have been a bit overdone but chicken starter was fine (if a bit on the large side). Good beer and not too expensive, can't see it handling a large group though as it's v.small

Sorry, bad food, I'm Indian and know what's good food. My wife and I were there and the good wasn't fresh at all. Would not recommend and the waiter kept yapping all the time. Please avoid.

Very friendly service. Food was also made per requirement.

Strange to read some of the bad comments. I am really wondering about that and like to comment on some before I give my own impression. First of all: the Natraj is a very small Restaurant (which is easy to notice), so going in with a Group of 20 People may cause some delay in service, especially if there already were other people in. But in fact, what did you expect? Secondly for me also the service has not been always outstandingly fast, but I do not want fast service in the first place when going to an upscale restaurant. I want quality and affectionately cooked meals (which may take some time!). So if you are really in a hurry simply choose McDonalds instead. Well, that was polemic, so just to be serious again: 1,5 h would be waaay to long for me too, but I never had anything like that. Sad that I have to mention it, but I can give everybody the advise to talk to the people. If you do not have much time, let them know when you get in, it's so easy. In fact I did may times when I planned to go to a movie in the CINEMA above the street after eating. I was always on time. So to the next point: The Quality, this is what counts for me. Maybe I have not a clue, for I am no Indian. But I love to eat out and do it a loooot, favourite food: Indian. I can start by telling you (for I knew the owner of the restaurant that was in the location before the Natraj) that the location is absolutely not "perfect" as mentioned above, it's nearly the opposite. I could extensively explain why, but I suggest you just believe me for now: If they'd "stop trying" as somebody wrote, they'd be broke in a month. But trying is not the same as achieving, so now to my own impression: I have been in the Natraj surely over 50 times (used to work nearby). In my opinion the food is excellent, I was very pleased with every single dish (Apart from the Jalfrezi, which is not for my taste in this place - just like dpward, greetings!). I think I can also testify the quality of the food an ingredients, for I'm well trained: it's high standard. And I know virtually any indian restaurant in munich, so I do have comparison. So for everybody who had a bad experience: Either you are real hardcore gourmets or you know something I do not know or maybe you just catched a really bad day, which I (have to emphasise this) did not in over 50 visits. The Rest may be personal taste, for of course everybody looks for something different. The Natraj is one of my 3 top ranked Indian Restaurants in town. Try it and see for yourself!
