The central hub of dance stuff and concerts, Muffathalle is a massive concert hall right beside the river at Isartor/Gasteig. It has a huge stage at one end of the hall and a small bar at the other.

Ive spent several nights here at their discos, which are usually brilliant, and concerts tend to be busy events. Anyway, if you have decided to make a lifelong friendship with strong alcoholic drinks and to dance like Travolta in Staying Alive, this could be a good place to go.
Music is jazzy-techno-groove-beat-rock-junk-acid - very diverse stuff. Concerts are a bit esoteric, ranging from Tower of Power to Smashing Pumpkins. Also has a small café section tagged on but its not that interesting. Stay in the main hall and enjoy the sheer scale of it all.

An awsome venue whether it's for a gig or just a disco it's absolutly fantastic, a definitive must!
Posted by: "Matt" at 9:47 pm on 15.Dec.2005I go there on Saturdays nights and feel the cool vibes of the Kingston Crew. For all those who miss home ( carribean ) , or are feenin the vibes of revival, dancehall , rocksteady , bashment and just shock out Reggae - try this. My Friend from a ghetto in Jamaica was here last year and i could see he was missing it. Took him there and then after , we were there EVERY Saturday. He was well impressed.
