I had dinner at Mitani last Friday night. Was a pure ripe off for the price they charged and the quality they offered!! There are better places to have dinner in Munich.

Had a Japanese friend just recommend this place, he told me lunch menu is 8 Euros per person, available on Saturday too. Anyone tried this yet? Apparently, he thinks this is better than Shoya. That's something I gotta see for myself...

My Japanese teacher tells me that this is the best Japanese food in the city - am going next week so will let you know. Two colleagues from Tokyo went and loved it....

I'm Japanese and I recommend this restaurant. For the dinner it is bit expensive, but 8 Euro lunch is great. You cannot find such low price menu even including big salad and miso soup. I have eaten lunch of Kara-age (fried chicken) that is very juicy and tastes good. Sushi lunch or Chirashi lunch is also good. I don't recommend shoya, temmaya, and sano, but recommend enn, J-Bar, mitani, toshi (but too expensive for me).

Had the lunch deal today and it was excellent, great food and nice service. Will definitely go back.

Nooooooooooooooo!! Among Japanese society in Munich, Mitani is the worst service Japanese restaurant in Munich. So unfriendly.

I have tried there the 8 euros menu at lunch and I must say I have been positively impressed, for that price you'll get 7 pieces of sushi plus a salad and a miso soup. The sushi itself is quite good, the service is good too. Even if that, my favourite japanese restaurant remains the Kushiage Enn :)

Lunch is great, I totally recommend this place. Dinner could be a bit expensive, I believe...
