This place is just down the road from me and I go eat there quite often. Extremely friendly, excellent food and a cosy atmosphere. The place is very small, so bear that in mind. My parents went recently and thought that it had changed owner, but I am not sure if this is true
Posted by: "Paul" at 11:48 am on 23.Nov.2005Judging from the way the website says "we're online from 15.Dec.2005", and by the way the entry is newly submitted here, it would indeed indicate that something has changed. Perhaps a new owner.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 2:31 pm on 23.Nov.2005Yeah, it seems so. Shame really, the old owner was really friendly, he told me he had been there for over 20 years.
Posted by: "Paul" at 11:12 pm on 23.Nov.2005Hi all, it´s true! ´m new owner from merhaba :) don´t be worry, everythings will be same. same cok, same food, same music it can only be better! greetings from Munich!
Posted by: "Kalafat" at 1:58 pm on 24.Nov.2005We are back in town and ate here a few days ago. We ordered from the daily special menu and everything was excellent--with one exception. My salad seemed to be lacking in balsalmic vinegar. Service was great and staff very friendly. I would go here again.
Posted by: Californicate at 9:08 pm on 5.Aug.2007We found this restaurant by accident recently (August 2007). The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter was very friendly to all of us, including a small toddler.
Posted by: "Karen" at 6:18 am on 6.Aug.2007@ Californicate: Balsamic Vinegar at a turkish taverna? not really :) Merhaba is a great place, i love going to eat there. Always a smile and great food
Posted by: Mr.Mosh at 9:17 am on 6.Aug.2007The menu mentioned balsalmico.. my German isn't that good, but I expected something more than olive oil on my salad. The fried feta was an awesome addition though. We loved the place.
Posted by: Californicate at 8:43 pm on 7.Aug.2007I've been working in Germany for 7 months and this is the first Turkish place I've tried. I would say the food was OK, overall just seemed a little bland. The cost was standard for Munich; 40 Euro for two people (drinks, app, and dinner). I do wish they would have had some Turkish beer though (Effes Dark) but this IS Germany, so I wasn't expecting it. The staff is very nice and helpful but their English is limited. A nice touch was the guy playing what looked to be a traditional Turkish instrument (Baglama).
