This place is just down the road from me and I go eat there quite often. Extremely friendly, excellent food and a cosy atmosphere. The place is very small, so bear that in mind. My parents went recently and thought that it had changed owner, but I am not sure if this is true

Judging from the way the website says "we're online from 15.Dec.2005", and by the way the entry is newly submitted here, it would indeed indicate that something has changed. Perhaps a new owner.

Yeah, it seems so. Shame really, the old owner was really friendly, he told me he had been there for over 20 years.

We are back in town and ate here a few days ago. We ordered from the daily special menu and everything was excellent--with one exception. My salad seemed to be lacking in balsalmic vinegar. Service was great and staff very friendly. I would go here again.

We found this restaurant by accident recently (August 2007). The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter was very friendly to all of us, including a small toddler.

@ Californicate: Balsamic Vinegar at a turkish taverna? not really :) Merhaba is a great place, i love going to eat there. Always a smile and great food

The menu mentioned balsalmico.. my German isn't that good, but I expected something more than olive oil on my salad. The fried feta was an awesome addition though. We loved the place.

I've been working in Germany for 7 months and this is the first Turkish place I've tried. I would say the food was OK, overall just seemed a little bland. The cost was standard for Munich; 40 Euro for two people (drinks, app, and dinner). I do wish they would have had some Turkish beer though (Effes Dark) but this IS Germany, so I wasn't expecting it. The staff is very nice and helpful but their English is limited. A nice touch was the guy playing what looked to be a traditional Turkish instrument (Baglama).
