Mercado Latino is not really a restaurant, rather a South American gem in the heart of Munich. Not only do they sell delicious empanadas. You can also purchase frozen tapas para empanadas and bake your very own empanadas at home. The place also offers catering. Something different, food some people may not be familiar and hence will remember.

Haven't eaten any prepared foods here (probably because the one afternoon when I stopped in here about a month ago all they had in the warm case looked dried out and unappetizing). There is also only one table (with standing room). I went there looking for corn tortilla masa (which they have) but which was a little expensive. The selection in their small store was incredibly small when I popped in. Were they in between orders?? The man working there- presumably the owner however seemed very kind.
