Medici is one of the few restaurants I've been to in Munich where the waiters greet you, there is always enough room to move and the food is quick. Looking nothing like a restaurant from the outside - even sporting a nice cake deli area in the front, down back this restaurant looks as fancy as any other, without breaking the bank. The food is always fresh - coming straight from the markets in the morning. May I recommend the lunchtime menus, where for not a whole lot of money, you are treated to a salad and a gourmet pasta - a must for pasta fans. The owner of Medici is one of Germany's leading caterers, has been in the business for decades, and as well as having Medici, he serves such corporate big guns as IBM, BMW and Merrill Lynch. I can highly recommend this restaurant!

great Italian food and atmosphere - we Brits don't normally like to eat our furry rabbit friends, but I have to say the rabbit dish featured on the menu was superb! we even tried to order it on our second visit but it was 'aus'. Service wise, we have found it a little slap dash and the staff somewhat aloof, but on the whole a nice dining experience for two or even groups - a great place to have dinner if you want to combine dinner and a film, the cinema is just a 5 minute walk away - the restaurant is located right next to the Mailinger U-Bahn so not a huge schlepp. We ate inside both times, but they have a good sized outside seating area if you don't mind the noise and fumes from the Nympenburg str. Evening menu probably falls into a medium price bracket - from memory, wine was a bit overpriced jmb

Besides the fact that the waitress argued with me 4 times, saying I had ordered something else, finally she stopped and said she'd bring the right one. I wasn't that impressed with the place. Food was okay, I had the beef carpaccio & truffle cream gnocchi. The Carpaccio was good & tasty, but it was the first time I've had it so it's hard to say. I don't think I'll be running back there anytime soon. I was in handy vicinity to the English Cinema though.
