Maharani is the ideal restaurant for a pre- or post-movie curry, since it's just down the road from the Cinema on Nymphenburgerstr. The staff are very friendly and the service has always been good when I've been there.

Used to be the best Indian in Munich but standards have dropped and they've taken the Brocolli Masala off the menu.

Used to be the best in town. The service goes up and down as staff changes but the food is still hard to beat! Especially the CTM!

Went there for the Sunday Brunch (all day, just 9 euros w/out drinks) and found it quite tasty. Sure, you don't get any pakoras or papadam but for 9 euros we got 2 veggie dishes, 2 meat (chicken tikka was the only non-interesting dish), plain rice, nan bread, salad and mango pudding for dessert. The place is small and cozy, the staff nice, and the food on the buffet was spiced medium'ish which was perfect. Would go back again, especially since I live close enough to walk!

No. The worst food I have ever had in Munich. I forget what I ordered (with the GEA a few weeks ago) but it was so salty I could only eat half. On the other hand the other guests seemed satisfied.

Been there about 4-5 times in the last 2 months. Food has been delicious each time, and both myself and my colleaugues have never had a complaint. With each visit we had a different type of lamb, chicken and daal/sabji dish along with raita. The starters that we had were normally paneer and onion bhaji. Beer was very nice and service was excellent. My one complaint was the music. IMHO given that they provide a Punjabi flavour to their dishes, they should play traditional Punjabi songs as well rather than songs from other areas of India. A bit of 'Bhangra' to liven München up! :-)
