Locanda Picolit - Munich

We were very excited to try this restaurant since we love Italian food and since it is a 2 minute walk from our apartment. Unfortnately we were greatly disappointed. The service was incredibly slow (even by German standards), the gemischter salat was covered in salt, and the entrees were incredibly small, overpriced and not all that tasty. Our recommendation is to save your money and go somewhere else.

Just saw your comment. What a shame as it the one restaurant I still talk about since our visit there. I had the Asparagus Ravioli which was in season and it was the most wonderful meal I have ever eaten, and believe me that is saying something. If you are still there, try it again.

Very overpriced and staff that give the impression that you are fortunate to be served by them. I won't be back

Here again, I have been several times - the food has always been of high quality - you can find good wine for a reasonable price. May be a bit slow, but when we like it....

The first time I entered the restaurant I left after a few minutes. No service and high prices I remembered. The second time it took me already about 15 minutes to leave. The service was willing to serve me but their pasta was still too expensive for me. Nowadays I enjoy this particular restaurant at least once a week. Maybe it is the very best Italian restaurant in Munich. And I have to say that it helped me to accept cook Danilo as being an artist in his kitchen. And it was good to learn that a quick service shortens evenings which I want to spent in full on dining. That's it. That's life

Hey Huh? Sorry for not being a native english speaker. I wanted to say that this restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in Munich with a slow service which excellently fits me. And that's life in my opinion: It's better to waste time on a slow service in an excellent Italian restaurant than to save it elsewhere ;-) Bye TJAL

We live in the US but always dine at this wonderful Italian restaurant everytime we visit Munich. The interior is nothing fancy but the food always hits the spot! Price perception is relative, but I never thought that it's expensive for the food quality.
