Lizard Lounge - Corneliusstrasse 34, 80469 Munich, Germany

Very new place in the Hit the Sky, Basis area. What does it look like? Well, a shop that ran out of business has been transform into a bar, given a '70s touch, like an Austin Powers movie but without the humour, and it looks like they went to Ikea to get the lights.

The bar is run by two ex-Ksar Club bartenders who opened this place and put two fake lizards at the entrance to create the branding. The concept here is simple: there is no concept. But despite this obvious lack of content it is Trendy City right now, full of web designers, media people and fashion gurus. Very like Holy Home in a way.

There is a DJ, and they do make good cocktails, but still, why is word spreading so quickly? Explain it to me, please, because frankly, apart from the thrill of having been there, done that, I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

There's an English DJ playing at this place New Years eve (2006/7). He's good so I hope the place is gonna be good too. I'll post a comment after . . . .

Dont count on the english DJ playing there many more times, because he has just moved back to the UK.

He'll still be doing the odd night at Lizard Lounge and Ed Moses. In the meantime, one of the other DJ's (also English) from the Silvester party will more than likely get a regular slot.

So what are the names of these "mystery" English DJs then? Care to let us know so that we can keep an eye/ear out for them? Cheers.

The mystery DJs are Andy, Loz & bloke I don't know! There, that was helpful wasn't it. I can't tell you what name they go under either :-(

The other guy is Stempf, he's not actually English thouh. A friend of Loz and Andys

Yeah.. one of the guys is Stempf... but the the one I was thinking of was Ed, who is English. They are Scamrecordings and the full DJ line up is: Andy - (English) Ed - (Swiss/German/English) Loz - (English) Stempf - (German)
