A true 'find'. True |French cooking, but with a slight Bavarian twist. Scallops on cauliflower puree are not to be missed. Helpful waiters speak a multitude of languages - sometimes all at once when explaining precisely what a particular dish really is. The set meal can sometimes disappont, but dinner for two with a bottle of wine at this standard for 100 euros is hard to beat!
Posted by: "Nigel Frankland" at 3:37 pm on 6.Apr.2005We were in this restaurant 1 week ago , the food is very good, the staff is friendly, and a special thanks to Riccardo the Italian Chef. Price is good for an high quality "cuisine" ... We hope to return ... soon. Thank You
Posted by: "Jacopo e Gaia" at 6:14 pm on 29.Oct.2005Surprising "amalgame" of French and Bavarian cooking. I found the combined three course + wine menu very delicious, the proposed wines went perfectly with the food.
Posted by: "Christoph" at 3:20 am on 4.Dec.2005Fantastic food, great ambience. Probably the best meal I have had in munich since I arrived 4 or 5 months ago. I really recommend this restaurant for the great food....the service was terrible (the waitress was very dry and unhelpful) but the food more than made up for it.
Posted by: "Andres de la vega" at 11:15 pm on 7.Sep.2006The food was good, however the starting process was too rushed and pushy (drinks and deciding the menu)! We will not return.
Posted by: "Lena" at 9:18 am on 28.Sep.2006This is the restaurant I go to when I want to eat French in Munich. Really good quality for the money and I have never experienced bad service (been there many times). The waiters are always helpful, very friendly and they will change a dish on the set menu for a dish from the standard menu any time. I highly recommend the chocolate cake...
Posted by: "Oleron" at 6:12 pm on 29.Sep.2006We tried this restaurant for the first time last night. It had come highly recommended by a friend and since my parents were in town visiting from the States we wanted to take them for a great meal. This restaurant did not disappoint. We took the four course set meal with wine pairing and even my father who rarely comments on any meal at a restaurant was highly complimentary of this meal. The wines were all excellent as well. The service was good - attentive without being pushy. I can't wait to go back.
Posted by: "dcsoxgirl" at 1:34 pm on 8.Oct.2006Went there with a big group on Saturday night - most of us had the 4-gang menue with matching wine - was delicious. Great atmoshpere, plus you can only smoke at the bar area, so you can enjoy your meal properly.
Posted by: LFF at 11:50 am on 4.Dec.2006Last minute decision to eat here last night after rude service at Le Sud in Schwabing. Have eaten here before and knew the quality would be high. We both had the 4 course menu: one for €38, no wine; one with wine for €56. They are very accommodating and happily provided a 4 course option with fish instead of meat. The wines they chose to pair with the food were excellent and each course was delicious, especially the risotto with asparagus and scallops. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.
