Le Barestovino - Thierschstr. 35, 80538 Munich, Germany
This is a new restaurant, hidden along the street with no big sign to draw you in.
The menu is a 4 course meal written on a chalkboard, you choose how many courses you want.
Approx. 32 for all 4 courses.
Will try when I'm hungry enough ;-)

Went here yesterday. Friendly service, beautiful room (we had a window by the garden), good wine list and well-executed food. Very good value for the money, even if you choose the a la carte menu.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 9:20 am on 30.Jun.2006This place is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding, freshly prepared and presentation is a forte of the chef. The ambience is great and service simply outstanding. They also have a private wine tasting room for around 12 people. The four course menu now costs 40 but few people get past three courses as their portions are generous. At present I would rate this as one of the best restaurants in Munich. It is tricky to find due to its lack of signage but worth the effort and close to the 17 tram or Lehl U-bahn.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 6:47 pm on 26.Jul.2006No wonder, Joel Bousquet is also the owner of "Les Cuisinier", my favorite French restaurant in Munich... Will definitely try it very soon... Thanks a lot for posting the address...
Posted by: Oleron at 6:24 am on 29.Jun.2007Was there just last week. Great place. Food was excellent, fresh and well presented. Also none of this wanky big plate, small portion stuff. Serves were good - as "Anonymous" posted, 3 courses is enough, but it's possible to squeeze in 4 ;-) Definitely recommend it to anyone. And 4 courses was 35 euro... perhaps price of the menu depends a bit on ingredients? So get on down for some French goodness.
Posted by: "Anonymous" at 5:20 pm on 20.Aug.2007Went there for the second time last night. Their food is so delicious. I highly reccommend going there in the winter season, as it is oyster time and theirs are delicious! The waiter is super nice and attentive and the atmosphere is delightful (the pictures of the dogs on the walls is such a nice touch!). The back of the restaurant (main bit) is non-smoking, which is very pleasant. Very highly reccommend this place.
