Klenze 17 - Klenzestrasse 17, 80469 Munich, Germany
If you went to college anywhere in Europe, youll be familiar with this kind of bar/pub/café. Student décor (sickly, pukey green) and a very studious lack of attention to detail allows these yuppie students to act like they are oh-so-poverty stricken. And the smoke will make sure mosquitoes dont bother you, believe me.

It is well known and has a reputation for being constantly in, but it is what I would call hard work. It tries so hard not to try hard, know what I mean? A good indicator is the way they look you up and down when you enter, as if they are checking for the right gear. The result is that you don't feel terribly welcome or comfortable unless you too are trying hard to look blasé, when in fact you're terribly concerned what everyone thinks about you.

Mmm... I don;t think it is as bad as that and I am a quite touchy person concerning bad restaurants and cafes. The Klenze is a nice place to go when you want to be left alone. The service is usually friendly though their kitchen sometimes is slow. It's not a special place but defo not 'blase' as the previous reviewer said
