Kalypso - Munich

very good food in a nice atmosphere. fresh grilled fish and mussels. small wine list with some interesting selections including a nifty greek version of viognier which was crisp and perfectly suited to seafood. this place also has a very nice atmosphere with high ceilings and exposed ducts. sort of reminded me of a place in nyc's soho. we'll go back.

we went back yesterday and again it was nice. except the service which was a bit sluggish and they forgot our salad. all compensated for by having the mayor of munich sat on the next table. suffice it to say, he was getting very good service!!

We had dinner there on a quiet Sunday evening a few weeks ago. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable (especially the retsina)! I even had fish and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it in this land-locked city. To boot, the setting actually reminded me of my travels in Greece! I would definitely go back.
