Jaipur Palace - Munich

I had a most delicious lunch at Jaipur Palace today. I started with a fresh salad and it was delightfully dressed with fresh herbs and other interesting seasonings. I had the chicken Vindaloo and it was FANTASTIC! Beautitully seasoned in a nice, creamy sauce and the chicken was ever so tender. My mango Schorle was made from FRESH MANGO. I couldn't believe it and even asked.

The restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated - a bit elegant, actually, with very comfortable seating.

Located 2 min. walking from Rotkreuzplatz.

My first visit to the newly opened Jaipur Palace with TT curry night (22.05.13). My food (chicken tikka masala) was nicely spiced and flavourful & the chicken was very tender. Decor was very elegant and toilets also clean and smelling nice (plus point in my book). Another positive thing was that we each had individual tabs at the table so there were no issues with open items on the bill. On the negative side however, the service was extremely slow - almost 2hrs before we got our food :-( They forgot my neighbour's starter altogether. Only seemed to be 2/3 guys waiting on the whole restaurant which was generally busy as well as our large group of 27. I really don't understand why inadequate service is nearly always an issue when the restaurants receive plenty of warning of our reservation. Would go back in a smaller group to see if there is any difference service wise.

For Munich historians and Neuhauseners, Jaipur Palace is right where Cafe Freiheit was for years. It's at the intersection of Leonrodstr. and Landshuter Allee, just up from Rotkreuzplatz.

My family and I visited the Jaipur Palace restaurant quite by chance and had a wonderful experience. We ordered chicken makhani, chicken tikka and Dal Tadka. All dishes were delicious and very authentic. The decor is pleasing, the staff is polite and helpful and the service is prompt. We would definitely go back when in Munich!

After some disappointing experiences with Indian food in Munich I came here and was pleasantly surprised. Good food for very decent prices, and nicely decorated. I highly recommend it :)
