Ilios - Munich

I have tried a few Greeks in the east side of Munich and have to say Ilios is easily the best. It starts with the friendly greeting and finishes with the choice of Ouzo, Mataxa or coffee. The restaurant style is not your typical greek with fishing nets on the roof and pictures of fishing boats on the wall, it is a litle moderner but still has plenty of charm.

The service is friendly and normally pretty quick although the restaurant can be very full on Fridays and Saturdays(reservation is adviced). The choice of food is excellent and the meat is always very lean. A plus point is Effi and her team are all very child friendly making young families more than welcome. Parking is not a problem also the Restaurant is only a 5 min. walk from the S-bahn at Vatterstetten.

Well worth a visit.
