This place is kind of hidden at the end of Görresstrasse, but right off the U2 at Josephsplatz and definitely worth it. Everything is cooked to perfection and their desserts are delicious.

The place is really cosy! They have a big collection of Grapa bottles, actually the biggest in Europe. As starter I would recommand the Frutti di mare, not cheap but really worth it. I must admit that I was sometimes dissapointed of the service (only italian men ...ok but not really the italian lover type...) no seriously the service is normally quite good but the owner used to welcome his guests every evening and it seems like he went back to Italy! Enjoying his retirement I guess! His daughter is there, you will notice her!!!I think that since Gianni(the owner) left there's definitly something missing!!!!

We dined here as a party of 14, for which they put on a set menu for us. It was amazing, both in terms of quality and selection. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough, without a doubt worth a visit.

The well known Il Mulino was renovated a few months ago. The picture above is pre-renovation. It lost ALL of it's character and became a snobby Munich eatery. They also lost much of the original staff. It's the same food, but now with a lot of attitude. We have been eating at the original for many years because it is a block from our house. Now they ask if we have 'reservations'. We have taken our business to the Mediterranee. Many of the staff from Il Mulino have moved there. They still recognizes us and appreciate our business. The food is great and the staff very friendly. www.toytowngermany.com/munich/mediterranee.html
