Il Cigno - Munich

Possibly my favourite restaurant. Nice to pop in for working lunch, reasonably quick and plenty of space. However it totally changes in the evening! But still not supper formal. Full of nice families eating and drinking wine. There is also the added advantage of massively professional waiters! Not typical in Munich, e.g. You don't have to pay the waiter that served you...

Been my favourite 'local' restaurant for years - always friendly, accomodating and great value for money. Some of the dishes have become my favourites, like Spagetti Arabiata or the incomparable "Copa Amarena"

nothing more (but also nothing less) than average italian standards, with a good share of stammgäste (good sign) in an unpretentious ambience

Been here a couple of times and I really like it. They have some good wine and the food was also always good. The waiters were very friendly with a smile on their face

Just went there this evening. This is casual ambiance suitable for families and groups. My Salad Mista (fresh mixed greens) was a large portion, perhaps to be shared. My main course was the Spagetti Casa with chunks of veal and ham with thin ham slices in cream sauce which complimented the meat. The Vinno Rossi di Casa was hearty, and not too sweet. A very typical Chianti. For me, all-out, about 18.50 Euro. At 8:30 PM on a freezing Friday evening there were still a couple of tables open, with a steady stream of turn-over. There is seating for about 45 handled by a waiter, his assistant and a bus-boy. They were contantly moving and service was fast and unobtrusive. They have an English menu. I will be back.

This is our 'local' and we go about once a week. Very professional, most enjoyable food and really good service. The interior acoustic is so good that it is always easy to talk - even when full. All the guests we have taken have remarked on how much they enjoyed it.
