Holy Home - Reichenbachstr. 21, 80469 Munich, Germany

A relatively small, under-decorated, understated bar, Holy Home attracts a mixed bunch of people, although they all seem to be creative or arty in some way.

Lots of black polo-necks, leather jackets, this season’s slotted eyewear and hair that has taken hours to make it look ruffled and untidy, like you really just don’t care. My first time here it was so packed that I ended up sitting on the steps that lead back to the toilets explaining to some girl I’d just met that no, I didn’t use a Mac.

When the weather outside gets really cold, the windows get all steamy so the place takes on a weird, horror-puppet-show effect from the outside and can be a bit forbidding because of that. But you drop in, hit the bar and it is possible to make some friends – as long as you know how to use Photoshop or Quark or you design trendy platform footwear or something.
