Hit the Sky - Munich

This address is now another bar called Netzer

Hit the Sky is well stocked with sexy, beautiful, young people and if you have the wits of a monkey you should be able to meet some witty and interesting young people here.

Candy coloured decor, a DJ and a LED display behind the bar give Hit the Sky a character all its own and it attracts a young, whacked-out, esoteric crowd. It’s not chic, but it’s not grunge or mainstream pop kids either. It’s somehow a bit more wild than some of the more refined bars nearby, a little more edgy and basic and it’s a lot more fun than posing like the latest Hugo Boss advert in Pacific Times.

If you are having problems starting a conversation, turn around. Cocktails are the order of the day. But... do you smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day? Do you never go to the countryside because there is not enough carbon monoxide for you there? Then you will enjoy this place. It is very, very smoky. But it is popular right now in Munich and that's what counts boys and girls.

Unbelievable. Was always full and considered trendy. But that´s the destiny of many locations in the Glockenbachviertel: they come, they´re trendy, they´re replaced by the next trendy place, they close, and so on. That´s Munich

I was yesterday at the Netzer (the name comes from the football player of the German national team of the ´70ies), that replcaed the Hit the Sky. Nicer. Not so chic in the clientele and furniture, and exactly therefore more "casual"- Drinking: mostly beer Nice girls: yes, but not as many as in the old location Dj: yes and they play rock!
