Gesellschaftsraum - Munich
Gesellschaftsraum is the name of the restaurant of the well-known chef Bernd Arold. Bernd Arold has gathered a lot of high quality experience in his special art of cooking at the famous Stefan Marquard in Meersburg and at a lot of other great restaurants throughout Germany.
In July 2008 he opened the Gesellschaftsraum in the centre of Munich. The restaurant´s style is something to be called retro or even trashy. In this environment, guests of Bernd Arold can enjoy his high standing meals and menus and still feel as though staying at a good friend´s place. Bernd Arold´s meals are always a great surprise, even to people who have known him for ages. His wild combinations of fish with meat, different spices and exotic fruit flavours bring up quite something to your table on every visit at the Gesellschaftsraum.
Menus from three to seven courses cost between € 41,- and € 71,-. Dishes can also be ordered separately. It´s recommended to make a table reservation in advance by telephone +49 (0)89 55077793.

Tried it out last night: Excellent food and very good service. The wine recommendations were very good and not expensive at all. I spent 240 Euros for a party of 4 persons and stayed at the restaurant from 7pm until midnight. Very hipe and sure one of the best new restaurants in Munich!!!

BTW, I have heard (from a friend who knows one of the people there) that they will most likely be getting a Michelin star in the next year, which means get in there sooner than later as reservations will be hard to come by and price will most likely go up.
