Gast is a fantastic Italian restuarant and lounge bar situated right next to the Gasteig, it's a very popular eating establishment, it has an open kichen meaning recipes on the menu are all house-made italian food which is cooked right in front of you when you order, not only is it pasta but also pizza, salads which is all freshly hand made when you ask. There is also a small lounge next to the bar, so you can chill out and relax after your fantastic meal with another good drink!!

So, if you enjoy italian food and want great value for money then i recommend you try this place. You check their website to view the english menu with the prices, which may be useful as in the restuarant their menu is written in Italian. The first time i went i was so impressed by the quality of the food and drink, with how much it all cost i ended up going back again, again, and again. Bon Appetito!

well, I wouldn't call it fantastic by any means. But the food is OK if you want a quick pasta fix. Cocktails aren't bad either

its also not only italian, they have asian inspired dishes as well... on Saturdays,Sundays, and Feiertags they do have a very good brunch which is especially nice in summer as they have a large outdoor patio.

Cheap and good. But: it's self-service, just like Vapiano. Ambiance is rather cafeterialike, even though the trays are small and cute and red. Don't know if the brunch is self-service too. Very full at lunch.
