Very good Indian food here. Colorful atmosphere, and the service was great.

I like going to Ganga for lunch. There's hardly anyone there during lunchtime. But that doesn't mean the food isn't good. They have a good priced lunch menu. Going for dinner is a tad more crowded, but still worth it. The service is good and the atmosphere is nice.

If you like hair in your food, then go here. There was hair in the Spinach Paneer that we ordered and in our salad. Absolutely disgusting!!!

Great food and service. Always smily and friendly. Try their Chicken Tika Masala.

Ganga is my favourite Munich Indian. Great food, good service, consistent quality, reasonable prices, and they'll spice it up for you British style if you want. Reservation is always a good idea, especially on Saturdays, duh!

Great Indian food. They're good about customizing your dish to add or leave out ingredients or spice. Go any weeknight for a quick seating and great service. It's a small place in a great location and will obviously be crowded on the weekends.

I have eaten many times in this restaurant and it's one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich if not the best. The food is great and the service is top notch. I visited many Indian restaurant in Munich in the past year but nothing really compared to them. I still eat here at least once every week. They have many dishes and quite a good verity of food and they make the dish the way you want it. I recommend it for anyone to try it out.. Good food, Good Service, Good time.

A terrible meal with curry that tasted as if it just came out of a Patak jar! Naan bread was maybe sprinkled with half a clove of garlic, service was ok. Wont be going back.

Wasn't impressed at all. The onion bhaji was all mushy in the middle and crispy on the outside. Agree with the Patak jar comparison for the main course. Service wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either, certainly not friendly or all smiles. Won't be going back either.

went here last night for a meal was ok but my dinner data asked for vindaloo mega hot and was just normal, but generally everything was ok

Posted by: "jackie" at 9:10 am on 20.Mar.2008

Not impressed. Food was bland and the vindaloo was swimming in tomato sauce. Nan was good, but that was about the only thing. Won't be going back. If you want good authentic Indian food head to Siddartha in Solln.

I went to the Ganga last night with my friend, I thought it was really good. We ordered the Vindaloo and the Tikka Masala which were both very tasty. The service was good too. You have to pay for the Popadoms unlike at the "The Palace of Wind" If you want it spicy you have to tell the waitor.

This is probably the worst Indian restaurant in Munich. The vindaloo for example, whilst reasonably hot, is just not a vindaloo. I agree with earlier reviews - the sauces taste like they are out of a jar, and to be honest, the speed at which they knock stuff out suggests a heavy reliance on microwave ovens. The service is friendly enough, but the food is just awful.

Have just got back from my first visit to Ganga. By Munich standards it was definitely well worth another visit. Beer wasn't great, but the service was excellent and the food was fine.
