Funky Kitchen is not your average ordinary nightclub. It's more of a "concept". The club is located in a building which during the day serves as an office canteen. On Friday and Saturday nights they clear away most of the canteen tables, install the "funky" lighting, projections, and sound system, and transform the place into one of the trendiest nightspots in Munich.

I went to 'Funky kitchen' last night. We were in a group of 9 people and even though the bouncer was first hesitating about letting us in because we were so many he let us pass eventually. The venue was quite cool cause it's actually in an old canteen where most of the canteen equipment is still left in. And they had big video installations which were quite cool to watch - probably even when you're not drunk. There were two DJs that were playing some bigbeat and breakbeat stuff - not as good as at The Garden the other week though. But still good enough to go there again at some point.

Thai food here is great especially if you arrive at about 1pm starving. Music varies but the place is almost always full. A lot of kids under the influence, dancing til they drop..........all in all a lot of fun and recommended.
