Few menu items to choose from (1 fish, 1 meat, 1 vegetarian) but all were tasty! Small cosy place - with excellent creole food (Senegal) with a warm atmosphere.

The best Mango-daquiri ever- with fresh mango pulp! Spicy food, very tasty!

Had dinner there last night. Great food! Delicious! Try the “Kokos-Shrimps-Suppe”..and leave some space for dessert. Ginger brownie is out of this world!

The best cocktails in town. Try the Jamaican Fever.... The food is delicious and the restaurant has a great service. Minus for not excepting credit cards or EC-card.

I think the name of this place has recently changed from Fouquets to 'Freebird' (or something like that). Anyone know if it still the same owner or has there been a change?

Fouquets still exists, it simply moved a couple of houses further up the street. They wanted to have a little more space. The freebird just took over their old location.

Best Creole food in Munich. Fantastic service, great food and wine selection. If you are after a small place for a night out as a couple this is your place!! However you MUST book a table as even on a Tuesday it was full.

Was there last night. Had been looking forward to going to this place for a while, since from the outside the place looked inviting. On the inside, however, the aesthetics were firmly let down by the staff. OK, they were quite busy, but frankly, I don't think it's a big ask to acknowledge or smile to the customers every now and then, or perhaps even apologise that our food took an hour and a half to arrive. I concede that the food was great once it arrived, albeit pricey, but I was so pissed off by lack of interest from staff that by that stage I had already decided never to return.

When I was there the service was nice albeit a bit slow. The menu was limited but interesting and the spice factor was more than satisfactory. Best fish balls in town.
