Feuerberg, a cafe, bar, and restaurant in Untergiesing, is the place to go if you want real American burgers. 250g fresh ground beef served to order. We are famous for our American kitchen North Carolina style (American owned restaurant) but we also serve great international food as well. So if you wanna have a good ol' time just check us out.

Has a nice sunny terrace in a quiet street, and the lunch time menu is usually good value and includes a coffee in the price. Food good for a local, and not too smoky inside.

Friendly local, food not very exciting, neither is the interior.

Very good american food at a very reasonable price. Very nice owner. Has an opportunity to eat outside and inside. Inside is very open and modern. Not too smoky

I met one of the owners last night, Klaus. He used to live in London and is keen to carry on where the nearby "Dub" (previously The Dubliner) left off. Yesterday he signed a contract with Guinness and will be serving the black stuff within the next couple of weeks! Klaus is half English/Austrian, speaks proper English like & is keen to get a good mix of people in the bar. I've never been to this bar but from what this guy was telling me, it sounds like it should definately be worth a visit soon!

Feuerberg is excellent. If you haven't been (recently), you should definitely check it out. I've eaten there three times and everything has been very tasty; my wife and I had a fantastic salad and a killer burger, for example. We'll definitely go back soon: we spoke with the owner (Jeff Wright) last night, who put my taste buds into overdrive with a promise of real-deal but inexpensive steaks and even Carolina BBQ in the near future. And you definitely need to stop in if you like great beer. Their Augustiner Helles tastes particularly good for some reason, plus they have Franziskaner and Guinness on tap, too. And Tuesday is Beer Day: with the exception of Guinness, draft beers cost just two euros for a half-liter! Granted, the place is slightly off the beaten path, but it's simple to get to - and very close to Kolumbusplatz (U1/U2) in Untergiesing. Enjoy!

This restaurant really impressed me with their hamburger, far, far better than any other than I have found in Munich, really tasted like pure fresh delicious BEEF that you usually cannot find anywhere in Munich... UNFORTUNATELY, the last two times I've been there, the burgers were absolutely terrible!!! Now they taste like spoiled hackfleisch that has been covered up with too much Lowerys seasoning salt. Please tell me if the quality returns to it's original state.

We have been regulars here for quite some time now, but sadly we too think that things are slipping. More recently we had a meal arrive which could be best described as a mini-meal and even the waitress said she would take it back to get the normal portion size - being regulars we had ordered it before so were a bit shocked. Also we stopped ordering steak after the 3rd time medium rare orders turned up well done, and the last time we were there the orders turned up 15 minutes apart so that I was finished before my companion had started and then we had to ask 3 times for his side dish. Not to mention that his dish was cold on arrival! Unfortunately, the waiting staff gave us the impression that we were inconveniencing them when complaining which just makes things worse. A real shame as we have always enjoyed going to Feuerberg as it is in a convenient location for us, but from now on it will only be for drinks which hopefully are harder to mess up.

I went there for a dinner with my boyfriend - I loved it! Burgers were big, huge actually. I couldn't even finish mine. And came with great fries and a salad. Radlers were only 2 euros each! And for 2 ppl we only paid 22euros! Thats a great deal. I didnt even have space for dessert, cuz i was too full, but they have some kool things - I'm goin again! (and no, i do not work for them :) just so u know

Also can´t complain ...the burgers we had last night were King Kong size !!!!...and the steaks exactly as we ordered....service is getting more professional every time, great wine selection.....shame there´s nothing alike more central .....Walt.

We went there on Saturday night and we wont be going there again. The food was very average and the service needs a lot of improvement. I ordered southern BBQ with hush puppies, i was served potato wedges and when I asked about my hush puppies the waiter just brushed me off saying that it has not been in the menu for the past six month. He could have informed that before we ordered. Furthermore when we wanted to order dessert he again brushed us off saying the kitchen is closed...at 10 pm????????....that did not sound right, nevertheless when we left we saw that the dessert display had two cakes.... to sum it all up...the waiter could not be bothered. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

We were also at Feuerberg on Saturday night. We went because I have been craving a good burger since moving to Munich a few months ago. We loved our Burgers! They were fantastic...the homefries were great, too. Our waiter was slow to take our order (he was busy with a big party). When he did come to our table, he apoligized for our wait, and from then on the service was fine. I would recommend this place if you want a great burger!

Can´t say anything positive this time. Seems there´s been a change of staff ... one big mess !!! Food cold, service slow, unfriendly and bitchy... What the heck is going on. I asked for the manager, but theý told me he had left. Shame because that guy was ace in organizing that place. We may try agin in a couple of months time...but they better start getting back to professional !!!

We tried the Feuerberg first time last night after having heard so much good news.... Not going back. Absolute amateurs. Say no more !

We live near the Feuerberg and pop in once in a while, but something must be going extremly wrong in this joint. We didn´t even get served last night. No one showed up at our table for the first 15 minutes and when my boy friend went to the bar to ask for service they told him to sit down and wait untill it was his turn ! .....By the way: "The place was nearly empty" Thanks for a great night out Feuerberg! Where´s all the staff gone ? The was a Manager guy in there who spoke perfect English once...friendly waitresses...and a nice atmosphere....All gone. Shame. Julia

Try and order any red wine from the wine menu ... the answer will be "it´s off".... then try and order the same wine at the bar...and whaddaya know ?? You get exactly what you ordered. It´s actually very amusing as long as you´re not willing to eat, because food takes ages ...and when you get it, it´s cold !!! They should charge for the amusement in there ´cause food and drink wise I don´t give them much chances to survive !!!

I met a guy in New Orleans a week ago and I told him a I was flying into Munich. He told me that the Feuerberg had the best burgers in Munich, so I got myself into a taxi from Freising. I´m afraid to say it wasn´t worth the effort nor the taxi fare......sorry guys. All the best anyway. Ben

Hi, I just moved into town 4 weeks ago from Cardiff. I am a nurse in the Harlachinger Hospital and I live near my work so I was looking for a nice place where I can meet some English speakers. A work colleague recommended this place Feuerberg, so I went there last night. The guinness is great !! I´m afraid I can´t recommend the food or service. Anyway, I may try again some time in the summer as they have a nice terrace outside. CU Jeanette

Went there sunday service good food arrived quickly and was great, restaurant was very warm, asked for cooler to be put on and was done so immeditely. Service very friendly, waitress spoke good english, waitress also kept checking on us for drinks etc couldnt fault it. Staff however did appear to be changed from previous week, perhaps owner has read the comments and sorted it all out.

Ok it´s only been a month since I said I wouldn´t come back for another couple, but I was curious if improvement was on its way.....? No such thing so far for me...sorry. Except the service at the bar, that´s quite fast and friendly but still doesn´t make up for cold food....we´ll try again !!!

Posted by: "Walt" at 5:38 pm on 17.Mar.2008

Ok folks.....sounds like it is just time to give in and avoid this place since obviously it has gone BAD!

Was there yesterday evening for a couple. Seemed like a very pleasant place. High tables around the bar give good opportunity for mingling. I was approached pretty much as soon as I came in by a waiter asking what I'd like. Very friendly efficient little chap. Augie was good. They also serve the Edelstof. Didn't eat but the food I saw going out looked like good enough bar fayre. Plenty of space outside too but the local scenery is not the best. Would definitely go back to give it a try for a full evening.
