El Español, we've been coming here almost since we moved to Munich in 2000; we've almost never been disappointed with the food or the service here. It's a small restaurant, highly advisable to reserve most nights. A wide selection of tapas, and a smaller selection of main dishes. One of the best margaritas in town: careful, if you order it make sure you're not driving! Prices quite reasonable, entrées from about 10.50€. Frequent happy hour specials. The personnel seems to change rarely, in my opinion a sign of a well-run restaurant.

It's interesting there's not much information about this place here. The food is very good, especially their tapas and their paella. Sangria is also very nice, refreshing and fruity. A seemingly well-kept secret, every second thursday there's a life Flamenco dance presentation. It seems it's always the same two spanish ladies performing on stage. Absolutely fantastic! If you want to spend a nice evening with friendly service, good food and a free show, stop by on a thursday night.
