Ederer - Munich

Good central location, near the 5 Höfe. Very good food and service, has a cosmopolitan feel, I recommend it if you look for a smart business lunch address. Prices above average but fair. For a non-business, romantic place try the so-called Garden Restaurant, next door at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof (not to be confused with their other 2 restaurants)...

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food. Very expensive. Nice ambience, and there is a separate room for bookings of 8 or more. Food and service were very disappointing though. All the meat we had (goat, veal, pork, lamb) was extremely dry and/or overcooked. After a quite nice amuse-bouche, we had to wait 90 minutes for our starter. The one or two seafood dishes we ordered were very nice, but that didn't make up for all the other food.
